THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE “GRAND” VARIETY
A medium-ripened variety of table purpose.
The year of entry into the State Register is 2016.
The plant is tall, intermediate type, semi-erect, the color of the flowers is purple. Tubers are elongated – oval in shape, with small eyes, the peel is partially red. The flesh is light yellow. The taste is good.
The mass of the commercial tuber is 92-104 g . Starch content 13.4 – 18% Marketability 75 -96%. The shelf life is 93%. Commodity yield 114 -387 kg / ha. The maximum yield is 506 kg/ha.
The variety is resistant to the causative agent of potato cancer, the golden potato cyst-forming nematode. Moderately susceptible to the causative agent of late blight on the tops and tubers. According to the originator, it is slightly affected by wrinkled and striped mosaics.
Recommended for use in (2) Northwestern, (3) central, (5) central chernozem, (10) West Siberian regions of the Russian Federation.
