Karlsruhe – The EU approvals for the pesticide active ingredients imidacloprid, denathonium benzoate, calcium phosphide and zeta-cypermethrin end on December 1, 2020 in accordance with Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 2020/1643.
As a result, the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) revoked the approval of all plant protection products with the above-mentioned active ingredients. The reason for this is that the applications for the renewal of the active substance approval have been withdrawn. As a result, the previously extended approval period for the active ingredients was shortened. These are the following pesticides:
Bayer Garten Combigranulate Lizetan * | Imidacloprid |
Bayer Garten Combigranulate * | Imidacloprid |
Confidor WG 70 | Imidacloprid |
Warrant 700 WG | Imidacloprid |
Arbinol B | Denathonium benzoate |
Polytanol | Calcium phosphide |
Polytanol P | Calcium phosphide |
FURY 10 PE | zeta-cypermethrin |
The revocation of Bayer Garten Combigranulat Lizetan and Bayer Garten Combigranulat takes place ex officio. This is why there are no sell-off or use-up periods for these plant protection products. From December 2, 2020, they are subject to disposal.
Since Confidor WG 70, Warrant 700 WG, Arbinol B, Polytanol, Polytanol P and FURY 10 EW are revoked at the request of the authorization holder, a sell-off period until June 1, 2021 and a use-by period until June 1, 2022 apply These deadlines result from the Plant Protection Act. After the use-by period has expired, any residues must be disposed of. The revocation also applies with the same deadlines for associated plant protection products in parallel trade.
