For ten years, JSC “Ozyory” has been a member of the Union of the Participants of Potato and Vegetable Market with great pride. Over this time, the company has stead-ily increased its success in the complicated agricultural market.
Now JSC “Ozyory” is one of the largest produc-ers of potatoes and vegetables in the suburbs of Moscow, having repeatedly assured the high quality of products at various exhibitions and gaining the trust of the partners and buyers.
The company, ranging from an ordinary employ-ee to senior management, is proud of its history and the people who made it. After all, owing to the experience ac-cumulated bit by bit, respect for traditions and achieved results and at the same time the desire to create and im-prove, JSC “Ozyory” is confident in stability and further development, and each of its employees are confident in the integrity of the company.
Today 50,000 tons of fresh vegetables are grown in fields with a total area of over 5,000 hectares. The un-interrupted supply of them, with an excellent quality main-tained, is ensured by the entire structure of the company: its highly professional team, storage system and its own vehicle fleet equipped with modern technology, well-oiled system of interaction with partners and competent logis-tics.
The quality security and demand for the products of JSC Ozyory are ensured by the fact that the company has become renowned as a successful breeder as well: seed production is one of the priority areas of its activi-ty. Thanks to their experience and modern technological capabilities, specialists are engaged in varietal improvement by enhancing the qualities of the taste and preser-vation of the products. Therefore, in a specially designed laboratory – phy-totron – potato selection is carried out: up to 80,000 plants are grown here us-ing in-vitro technology, which are cut and placed in greenhouse conditions that are optimal for them, and then, upon passing control, are planted in the fields.
Specialists continue to work on the varieties that have already gained trust, such as “Nadezhda”, “Krasavchik” and “Barin”. Concurrently they are actively working on new varieties, productively cooperating with the re-searchers of the A. G. Lorkh All-Russian Research Insti-tute of Potato Farming FSBSI. Due to this alliance of sci-ence and business, it is possible for both parties to quickly achieve positive results: to test new varieties and technol-ogies and introduce successful innovative elaborations.
In 2018, JSC “Ozyory” became a participant in the federal scientific and technical program for the develop-ment of agriculture for 2017–2025 “Development of potato breeding and seed production in the Russian Federation”. The goal of the program is to ensure the stable growth of the production and sale of high-quality seed potatoes of modern competitive domestic varieties.
The program particularly involves the formation of a modern scientific and technological base for breeding and seed production of potatoes, improvement of agricul-tural technologies, creation of new domestic varieties of potatoes, provision of a quality control system for seed potatoes. In this program the varieties “Plamya” and “Ku-mach” participate on behalf of JSC “Ozyory”.
On the threshold of the anniversary, we cannot but note another achievement, owing to which the com-pany has become recognizable and loved by many pur-chasers. This is a range of flavors of natural potato chips “Barin”, whose production was launched by JSC “Ozyory” in 2014. The Potato Union supported, and has contributed to the implementation of this ambitious idea to date. Cur-rently this brand of chips comes in eight different flavors – they were formed based on consumers’ preferences, consequently every customer will find Barin chips to their very taste. In addition, the company pro-duces exclusive chips from its own vari-eties of potatoes with colored pulp.
JSC “Ozyory” intends to con-tinue developing its main courses and master new ones, improve and introduce seed-growing programs, increase volumes and improve the quality of production. The company’s experience proves that this is how the prospects are actualized, high performance is achieved, stability of the present and confidence in the future are attained.
