Developed by Agrico’s subsidiary Desmazieres (France) in partnership with SIPRE, the French Bretteville selection station, the cloneDB 09 100 2 new potato variety has a name from now on, suggestively called “Bubble Sun”.
This new French variety is now officially listed and is ready to win the baby Potato fresh market. Bubble sun is fully adapted to produce spud babies.
“It is an early variety yellow skin variety with yellow flesh. The advantages of Bubble Sun place this new variety in the heart of the babies’ potatoes market,” Agrico wrote on their Facebook page, adding that “Bubble Sun” is officially listed in the catalog of European varieties.
This new variety is adapted to round cultivars production, according to a recent company press release.
“Bubble Sun” is an early variety, with yellow skin, and yellow flesh. Also, the cloneDB 09 100 2 has a thin and smooth skin of very beautiful presentation resistant to scabies, generating round tubers, quite numerous and very homogeneous in size.
