Klompe Landbouw from Mijnsheerenland (ZH) cultivates all crops on beds as much as possible. The entire machine park is adapted to this. Last purchase is a John Deere 6155, as an extension.
Clumpy cultivation on about 350 hectares of a range of crops: various types of potatoes, onions, kidney beans, soy, shallots and a range of grains. All at a working width of three meters. Jeroen Klompe believes that good soil is the basis for a good crop. “And a healthy crop is the basis for healthy food and so for healthy people.” As far as he is concerned, a healthy soil also means not driving the soil or driving as little as possible. From that point of view, he chose years ago to work in the tramline system.
The entire machine park is set to the working width of 3 meters, or a multiple thereof. On the farm is a John Deere 8520 T crawler tractor, which, among other things, stands in front of the leg combination. In addition, a John Deere 6430, also at 3.15 meters and an Agrifac self-propelled sprayer, also at 3.15 meters. Since this week, a John Deere 6 155 has been added.
All work
Klompe bought the tractor from dealer Staadegaard, who had it converted by LMB Geertsema. He will do all the necessary activities with it. “The idea of broadening is simple,” says Jeroen. “The implementation is a bit more complicated.” For example, a completely new and different front axle went under the tractor. The rear axle was extended and reinforced on both sides. “For the rest it remains an ordinary John Deere.”
