A Story of Love and Hard Work
Wife: Jann Moss
Children: Our lives have been blessed with four wonderful children: Ryan, Mandi, Lana, and Becky. They, in turn, have given us the joy of 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Hometown: Jann and I grew up together on a small, picturesque farm in Northern Utah. It was there that we learned the value of hard work, growing beets for the Utah-Idaho Sugar Company, potatoes for Clover Club Chips, peas and beans for DelMonte, and onions for the Utah Onion Co.
Pride in Farming: The pride I feel in being a farmer runs deep. We always dreamed of expanding our farm, but residential development in our area limited our opportunities. So, we packed up and moved to Idaho, a land of abundant possibilities. That was 40 years ago, and we haven’t looked back since.
Today, Idaho is our Home Sweet Home. Our son Ryan now expertly manages the day-to-day operations of the farm, giving Jann and me a chance to slow down and savor the fruits of our labor. This year is particularly special for us, as we celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.
Reflecting on these fifty years, I see a life rich with the rewards of growing not only potatoes but also a loving family. We’ve cultivated deep friendships and built meaningful relationships with so many wonderful people across the state. It’s been a journey of growth, love, and connection, woven into the very fabric of Idaho’s farming community.
