In 2022, the sown area in the Yaroslavl region is projected to increase by 3.2% and amount to 261.4 thousand hectares. This is reported by the government of the Yaroslavl region.
The main growth will come from fodder crops, which are planned to plant fields on 9,000 hectares more than last year. The area under potato cultivation in 2022 will be 3,440 hectares, which is 6.3% more.
The area occupied by open ground vegetables (cabbage, carrots, beets, and so on) will amount to 1,320 hectares (plus 3% compared to 2021).
