Since 2022, a state program has been in place in Russia for the effective involvement of agricultural land in the circulation and the development of the reclamation complex. It, among other things, includes individual measures to improve the fertility of agricultural land through liming. The state program is also aimed at a significant renovation of the technical structures of the reclamation complex as a whole.
This year, 111.1 million rubles were allocated to Lipetsk farmers for the implementation of projects under the new state program. Of the 25 projects that received state support, 21 are aimed at liming soils. For these purposes, 61.8 million rubles are allocated in the federal and regional budgets. Liming of acidic soils improves their agrochemical and agrophysical properties and increases fertility. In 2022, liming with state support covered 20.2 thousand hectares in the region.
Another 49.3 million rubles are earmarked for four projects aimed at carrying out irrigation and drainage measures. Thanks to state support, it is planned to grow agricultural crops on irrigation on 638 hectares. As of the end of this year, the total area of existing reclamation lands in the Lipetsk region is about 18 thousand hectares.
The implementation of the state program will have a positive impact on the development of the industry and ensure the effective use of agricultural land as the main means for increasing agricultural production.
