Spanish retailer Mercadona has added two new flavors to its potato chips range under the Hacendado private label brand. These include Pollo Asado al Limón (roast chicken flavor with lemon and chili) and Chili y Lima (Chilli and Lime). The former is manufactured by Rubio Snacks in Bullas, Murcia, while El Valle makes the latter in Villena, Alicante.
The Pollo Asado al Limón is characterized by a unique flavor with a hint of lemon, and Chili y Lima offers an initial hint of spicy chilli, which is balanced by the taste of lime. Both flavors have been developed in collaboration with customers through co-innovation sessions held both in Spain and Portugal.
