McCain Introduces ‘Flavour Maker’ Seasoned Fries and Chips in Britain

McCain Foods’ new ‘Flavour Maker’ retail line in the United Kingdom features three offerings launched “in response to the popularity of flavored fries in restaurants and the casual dining sector.”

Distributed in 750-gram bags complete with in-pack seasoning sachets, are Smokey BBQ fries, Garlic & Herb Chimichurri skin-on fries, and Spicy Chili Chipotle deep-ridge chips. The suggested retail price for each is GBP2.99.

Positioned to allow consumers to recreate an “at-home” restaurant experience, the range is being promoted as “perfect to accompany a variety of meal occasions, whether it’s a special night in for a couple or to add something special to family mealtimes.”

McCain operates four factories across Britain that source potatoes from a large network of farmers. Working closely with over 250 growers in the UK, it is the largest purchaser of British potatoes, buying approximately 15% of the annual potato crop.
