Belarusian agrarians will have to look for an additional margin in foreign markets this year, but also not to forget that the domestic market must be fully provided with products.
In Belarus, agriculture already has enough benefits, the head of state said during a working trip to the Grodno region.
According to him, there are a number of allowances for farmers in the republic, preferential interest on loans, comfortable prices for fuel and gas, as well as fertilizers.
“Whatever you say, there is still a lot of attention to agriculture. But now agriculture is in more favorable conditions than industry. In connection with these sanctions and other things,” the Belarusian leader recalled.
After that, he added that farmers need to look for a margin in the foreign market, where there is a demand for Belarusian products. At the same time, one must remember about meeting the needs within the country, taking into account the support from the state. Moreover, the agricultural sector in the republic enjoys a large number of preferences.
“It’s dangerous further. It’s very dangerous to further subsidize agriculture, especially your good production. Because we will have an imbalance in the country’s economy as a whole. It’s very dangerous,” his press service quotes the Belarusian leader.
The head of state drew attention to the fact that the local cooperative named after V.I. Kremko took on a decent social burden. In this way, the well-being of workers is maintained. Of course, this results in certain costs.
“Hence, the profitability will be lower. It’s good that you support it. And let there be such profitability. Are we moneybags? What’s in the collective farm, what’s in our pockets… We work for the people,” he told chairman Sergei Kremko.
