Not all Smolensk residents know that the Kozinsky greenhouse complex, located in the Smolensk region, is the region’s leading potato grower.
Over the past 8 years, the area under potatoes has been increased by 80%. In 2021, the Kozinsky plant produced about 10 thousand tons of potatoes. In addition, the enterprise occupies a leading position in the field for the production of rapeseed seeds and other vegetables. This was reported to the head of the region Alexei Ostrovsky during his visit to the enterprise.
The greenhouse complex is implementing an import substitution program. To do this, the company increased the area under crops five times – from 760 hectares in 2013 to 3,690 hectares in 2021.
