Irrigation Intelligence Software Company Manna and Irrigation Systems Manufacturer CHAMSA Announce Partnership to Bring Next-Gen Autonomous Pivot Irrigation Solution

The two are set to bring the industry one step closer to autonomy and refined sustainable practices by homing in on the pivot market.

Leading irrigation intelligence software company Manna, and Grupo Chamartin S.A. (CHAMSA), a leading irrigation systems manufacturer and distributor, today announced their collaboration to develop a joint offering that will bring pivot irrigation one step closer to autonomy. The partnership marks the growing momentum in the sector towards more sustainable and streamlined irrigation practices achievable through combined agricultural and technological expertise.

Manna’s cloud-based software provides irrigation intelligence solutions, that result in clear, actionable insights on how much and when to irrigate. Based on a combination of remote sensing data, pinpointed weather information, and crop-specific models, Manna provides growers with irrigation recommendations, crop monitoring maps, and irrigation planning tools – all without any hardware in the field.

CHAMSA has developed a remote-control software infrastructure that aligns with Manna’s hardware-free approach. The joint offering will allow pivot users to bypass installation of new hardware on their equipment — part of a larger effort to eventually move towards autonomy.

“With CHAMSA’s aptitude of remote operated irrigation systems, including pivot machines and distributing expertise, I am confident we will take the burgeoning pivot market even further, demonstrating the power of combining both knowledge and equipment,” said Eyal Mor, CEO of Manna Irrigation.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with an industry leader like Manna, who is revolutionizing sustainable farming by providing farmers with the tools to better understand water needs and timing,” said Javier Colino, Sales Manager at CHAMSA. “I am confident our shared vision of introducing autonomous technology to the industry, especially within the pivot market, will only bolster Manna’s efforts of a more sustainable and profitable future. This is a natural synergy at play, and we are confident that together with Manna, we can take on any growing challenges of an expanding market as it adopts new technology.”

Currently undergoing trials, the collaboration will first focus on remote controlled pivot irrigation combined with intelligence before moving to full autonomy.
