In the Ertilsky district of the Voronezh region, they plan to start growing a special variety of potatoes for fast food chains. It should be suitable for the subsequent preparation of the same french fries. The first harvest is likely to be harvested as early as 2023. This was announced on Friday, July 29, by Deputy Prime Minister of the region Viktor Logvinov.
- There are certain problems with fast food chains that sell french fries. For the population, this is not a central problem. But there is a company in the Ertilsky district, which has already laid a seed base in the Arkhangelsk region. I think that as early as next year a domestic analogue will appear in the Voronezh region,” Viktor Logvinov comments.
Obozrevatel.Vrn wrote that the Voronezh establishments Tasty – and that’s it, which opened after July 11, will temporarily not have french fries on the menu due to a lean year. In addition, it became impossible to import from markets that could become temporary suppliers. Difficulties are planned to be somehow resolved by the fall.
