Effective germ inhibition and child control in the field
In the past few years, throughgrowth and sprouting in potatoes have caused major problems nationwide. Very high temperatures in the summer months caused increased stress in the potatoes and broke the dormancy of the potatoes in the field. Such high temperatures in the ridge or above the leaf apparatus for a longer period of time encourage volunteer growth and growth.
Which measure helps?

When is the optimal deployment date?
As soon as around 80% of the daughter tubers have reached a size of> 25 mm (approx. 3 to 5 weeks before harvest), FAZOR ® 5 kg / ha should be applied in the field . In general, the potato tops should still be green when you plan to use them, in order to ensure that the active ingredient is safely relocated within the plant. However, application is still possible when a few leaves in the lower area of the potato plant have already turned yellow. How does FAZOR® support germ inhibition in the warehouse?
With the elimination of products containing chlorpropham for anti-sprouting, it is important to start the strategy of storing potatoes with a sufficient concentration of maleic acid hydrazide in the tuber. For this reason, FAZOR® should be used as a building block as described above in order to start the first application date for germ inhibition in the warehouse with calmer tubers as far as possible. This is particularly helpful with restless varieties or difficult weather conditions due to high temperatures during harvest.
