Belarus prefers potatoes to the space program

In the Republic of Belarus, it was decided to finance the construction of a potato storage facility at the expense of the national space program.
According to a document published on the National Legal Internet Portal, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic is forced to increase the cost of creating a storage facility with a capacity of 20 thousand tons. The new facility is to appear at the Tolochinsky Cannery.
Investments in the project should be increased by more than 2.2 million Belarusian rubles. It was decided to take most of the funds from the budget of the program of the National Academy of Sciences, designed to create a Belarusian space system for remote sensing of the Earth. As a result, the amount of expenses for it will have to be reduced by 2 million Belarusian rubles.
