34 thousand tractors and 4.9 thousand sowing and tillage units are involved in spring field work on the territory of the republic. And although the main focus is on cereals, much attention is paid to potato cultivation in the country. This time, local farmers allocate an area of 16 thousand hectares for culture.
In the new season, Belarusian farmers intend to grow up to 1.2 million tons of potatoes. Last year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the republic reported a harvest of 828 thousand tons. The growth compared to 2022 was then 5%.
