bacteria may invade affected
areas

Pink Rot

Infected areas appear dark brown to purplish
black The margin of the decay is often limited
by a dark line Infected skin is easily rubbed off
The internal rot usually begins at the stem end and is cream to light brown The rot has a texture similar to that of a boiled potato When
infected tubers are cut the flesh turns pink in
about 20 minutes and with time turns black
