affected tissue is surrounded by a yellowish discolouration
This injury is common in sandy soils when the season is warm
and dry

Fertilizer damage

Granules of nitrogen fertilizers burn
plant tissues particularly when the
relative humidity is high
Affected areas turn grey then black
