This new variety comes packed with traditional Japanese flavor and will be available only in the Kanto region.
In Japan, big international brands know how to keep their customers interested throughout the year, with exclusive limited-edition flavors and seasonal releases, according to en.rocketnews24.com.
The Kanto-exclusive Pringles flavor is sukiyaki, a traditional Japanese hot-pot-style dish, containing slowly simmered vegetables and thinly sliced beef, which are typically dipped in a small bowl of raw egg after cooking and just before being eaten.
Sukiyaki is one of the signature dishes enjoyed in the Kanto region (Tokyo, Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa), and the three-piece boxed Pringles pack pays homage to the area with famous landmarks like Tokyo Tower and Kanagawa’s Lake Ashinoko on the packaging.
As the dish is usually enjoyed during the cold winter months, Pringles is taking advantage of peak sukiyaki season by releasing their new flavor on January, 30.
