According to statistics, in 2023, the potato harvest in the republic amounted to about 3.6 million tons. The volume of crop production increased by 3.8% compared to the previous season.
The leader in potato cultivation was the Samarkand region, where farmers harvested 726.3 thousand tons of tubers. The Andijan region came in second place with an indicator of 437.6 thousand tons. The farmers of the Syrdarya region, who have accumulated 68.4 thousand tons of potatoes, received the least of this type of product.
