As part of the exhibition of scientific and technical achievements “Intellectual Belarus” in Minsk, Belagromech showed a prototype of a new automatic potato sorting machine. This was reported by special correspondents of the GlavPakhar portal from the scene.

The equipment is designed to separate substandard potato tubers at the stage of pre-sale processing in automatic mode using machine vision and automatic inspection systems. The machine vision system recognizes greening, traces of diseases, mechanical damage, growths and wormholes on the outer surface of tubers, identifies tubers with these defects as substandard, after which the latter are removed from the conveyor by a jet of compressed air.
