This year, everything is going well in agriculture, the head of state said at the Palace of Independence during a meeting with the chairman of the Mogilev regional executive committee, Anatoly Isachenko.
According to him, after visits to Vitebsk, Mogilev and Gomel regions, one can talk about how the situation is developing in the Belarusian fields. The northern part of the country was lucky with the time that was chosen for sowing: the pouring of grain fell just in time for the rains.
“Yes, there was a breeze, there was a lot of dead grain cereals. But we don’t only have cereals. We also have corn, and beets, and other crops. Potatoes. In general, the year is going very well for agricultural crops,” Alexandra quotes Lukashenka Presidential press service.
The Belarusian leader admitted that there are problems with cereals and rapeseed, but they are small. Therefore, it is very important to observe technologies in agriculture.
“Where the technologies were not observed, where this fertilizer was poured to no avail and the development of culture was strong, the death rate is very high. Where fertilizers were applied normally, crops were taken care of, there are normal crops. Again, all technologies, technologies. This is everywhere in the republic “, he stated.
After that, he added that he did not see a catastrophe in this situation, because they know how to clean up dead ears in the republic. At the same time, he addressed Anatoly Isachenko with a question about what problems might arise during the harvest.
Alexander Lukashenko said that some machine operators, when there is a good harvest on the field, harvest it at high speed in order to fill the bunker faster. But in this case, grain losses increase.
“Therefore, the quality of harvesting is the most important issue. Here it is also necessary to regulate the salary a little so that the combine harvester understands that if he cleans the laid bread, then his salary will be appropriate,” the head of state proposed a solution to the problem.
Agriculture in chocolate
Alexander Lukashenko warned that the chairmen of regional executive committees and local authorities should be engaged in harvesting, they have everything they need for this.
After that, he announced a meeting with the chairman of the Grodno regional executive committee Vladimir Karanik in the near future to assess the progress of the harvest. Also, issues related to the harvesting campaign in the south of the country will be discussed at the level of the head of state.
At the same time, he placed special emphasis on such an issue as the cultivation of winter barley. Because this crop gives an average yield of 50 centners per hectare.
“If we had such an average yield across the country of all crops, listen, you and I would be, as people say, in chocolate,” the Belarusian leader described the situation.
Winter barley and golden rapeseed
According to the head of state, it is necessary to increase the area under winter barley. This year, this crop will give a good harvest, and if it had been sown earlier, it would have been harvested long ago.
Alexander Lukashenko spoke about such a problem as long-line ripening of rapeseed, which leads to problems with its harvesting. Therefore, you need to cut out areas with ripe rapeseed.
“We need to do this, because rapeseed will crumble. Rapeseed is gold for us now, it’s a lot of money. Therefore, we urgently need to sort it out on the spot. I’m sure that you also have fields that need to be harvested today,” he said. .
Difficult harvest
This year, agrarians have increased the density of work due to the protracted sowing season. Now we also need to cut grass to provide livestock with fodder.
“Grassy fodder must be harvested very quickly. Because if we get involved in the harvest, straw will go, and then winter crops. In general, this period of the harvesting campaign is very compressed. It will not be easy,” the head of state stated.
