In the Tver region, seasonal field work is entering the home stretch. Spring sowing was carried out on an area of 106.5 thousand hectares, or 86.7% of the forecast. Spring cereals and leguminous crops were sown on an area of 47.5 thousand hectares – this is 91% of the plan.
The farms of Bezhetsky, Zubtsovsky, Kalininsky, Konakovsky, Rzhevsky, Staritsky, Torzhoksky districts and the Kashinsky city district are most actively sowing spring crops.
In addition, potatoes were planted on an area of 14.1 thousand hectares, which exceeded the planned volumes by 2%, vegetables – by 2.2 thousand hectares, which is 84.6% of the plan.
To date, spring plowing has been carried out on an area of 75.8 thousand hectares. Annual grasses were sown on 20.6 thousand hectares, winter crops were fed on 15.2 thousand hectares.
Every year, on behalf of the Governor Igor Rudenya in the Tver region, farmers receive state support in the sowing campaign. This year it amounted to about 300 million rubles, which is 100 million rubles more than in the previous year.
All funds are brought to the recipients in full. Over 270 agricultural producers took advantage of state support measures.
