Volunteers in the Golyshmanovsky District of Tyumen Oblast have planted 50 hectares of potatoes. The plot was plowed twice, with soil preparation carried out by Vasily Kryukov, Andrey Nikiforov, and Vladimir Goncharov. They were supported by Anton Tretyakov, head of the Medvedevskoye rural settlement administration, and Natalya Vasilyeva, head of the management company “Golyshmanovoteplotsentr,” according to the Information Center of the Tyumen Oblast Government. Seed potatoes were donated by residents of the villages of Medvedevo, Razhevo, Zemlyanaya, and the settlements of Golyshmanovo and Lamenskoye.
In the autumn, the harvested crop will be sent to the distribution center in the city of Krasnodon in the Luhansk People’s Republic. Part of the harvest will also be used by volunteers to prepare dry soups for soldiers on the front lines. “When volunteers, businesses, and local authorities come together, it’s not just potatoes that grow — it’s the confidence that we do not abandon our own,” said Yekaterina Korobtsova, head of the charitable headquarters “We Do Not Abandon Our Own.” She expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the initiative.
