Russia proposes the implementation of joint projects in three major areas.
In six months, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia increased by 40 percent ($1.426 billion), Akylbek Zhaparov, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, said at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin.
The volume of exports from Kyrgyzstan to the Russian Federation doubled. Zhaparov also noted “a significant influx of Russian tourists” into the country.

“For the first time, 14 direct flights a week are carried out from Russian cities to the Issyk-Kul region. We are very pleased that the fraternal people choose our republic for recreation. I am glad that the parties have begun implementing agreements on the construction of nine educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan,” the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers said. .

He also raised the issue of the legal status of Kyrgyz labor migrants in Russia.
Mishustin expressed interest in expanding cooperation in all areas.
“Our common goal is to create conditions for solving long-term strategic tasks in the trade and economic sphere, ensuring a favorable investment and business climate. The intergovernmental commission is engaged in this. It is necessary to speed up the signing of a new economic cooperation program for 2022-2026, which will help expand cooperation and increase trade , the volume of mutual investments,” the Russian prime minister said.
It is noted that the Russian Federation offers Kyrgyzstan the implementation of joint projects in the automotive industry, agriculture and transport infrastructure.
