As noted in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, increasing the volume of mineral fertilizers is one of the main tasks to increase crop yields and their gross collections.
In 2023, agricultural producers purchased 5.1 million tons of mineral fertilizers in the active substance. This is almost 32 thousand tons higher than in 2022.
The agricultural department believes that it is the use of fertilizers that has become the main factor in obtaining high yields of major crops in recent years.
In order to provide the domestic market with mineral fertilizers, export quotas for certain types of products are in effect in Russia, and prices are fixed until May 2024. In addition, the country has approved a plan for the purchase of fertilizers in different regions.
