The government of the region, within the framework of the state program for the development of agriculture, provides potato growers with subsidies in the amount of 30-70 percent of their costs. The funds are used to compensate for part of the costs of purchasing seed material, including delivery to the territory of the region.
In 2024, state allocations for the implementation of measures for scientific support of agricultural production were doubled. The task of the authorities is to stimulate variety testing of innovative domestic varieties.
In the new season, agroecological tests of six varieties of early and mid-early ripening crops of “SeDeK” breeding were carried out on the basis of the Sakhalin Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture.
