95% of its cost is compensated by the regional budget.
In accordance with the main directions of development that the head of the region Sergey Sitnikov determined for the agrarian sector, the Kostroma region is taking additional measures to ensure the uninterrupted provision of social institutions with vegetables and potatoes. The region has introduced an advance payment system for farmers for future deliveries of agricultural products. The municipalities have identified sites for its storage. Funds for the repair of storage facilities will be allocated from the regional budget. Own storage system will avoid additional costs associated with logistics.
Another measure to support the development of potato growing will be assistance to social institutions with the purchase of seed material. Institutions will be able to purchase potatoes for replanting for 5% of its value. The rest is compensated by the budget of the Kostroma region.
Agricultural enterprises-suppliers have already been identified, now the procedure for concluding contracts is underway. These are three farms in the region that produce and grow seed material from reproduction to elite, and also have the necessary documents.
Institutions from 10 districts of the Kostroma region have already declared their need, and the collection of applications continues.
“We already know the approximate need, it is about 25 tons. It is planned to provide at least 20 educational institutions with seed materials, plus social institutions. We plan to reimburse 95% of the expenses within the framework of state support this year to agricultural producers from the regional budget. About a million rubles will be allocated for these purposes,” commented Alexander Zamyshlyaev, head of the crop production and technical policy department of the regional department of the agro-industrial complex.
