The harvesting of the second bread is in full swing in Belarus. Military personnel come to the aid of potato growers, according to the old, still Soviet tradition.
So, the military joined the harvest together with the pupils of the Belynichi boarding school. Officers of the State Border Committee and cadets of the Institute of Border Service arrived at the field with their own equipment. A special atmosphere was given to this event by musical accompaniment and a dinner of fish soup and soldier’s porridge organized by the guests.
The director of the boarding school, Alexander Mamchenko, said that a plot of potatoes with an area of about one and a half hectares is cultivated here on his own. Working together with the military not only accelerated the process, but also allowed the guys to get to know the defenders of their country better.
