A laboratory for software development and assembly of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will be created on the basis of the Yakutia technopark. The opening is scheduled for March this year. This was reported on the official information portal of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

“In the near future, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles will become a mandatory technology for many sectors of the region’s economy,” said the head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, earlier at the opening of the Center for training information system operators.
The main goal of the future laboratory is the design, assembly, creation of software (SW), testing and debugging of unmanned aerial vehicles in Yakutia, the technopark reported. The software developed in the laboratory will make it possible not only to easily understand and control the drone, but also to solve specific tasks inherent in different sectors of the national economy.

The assembly of aircraft will be carried out in a special workshop of the technopark. It will also develop its own models and components of drones. It is already possible to print part of the UAV parts on 3D printers. Recall that at the Yakutsk College of Communications and Energy, the Center for training information system operators – UAV pilots was opened on December 24, 2022.

In 2023, it is planned to train about 300 operators. To date, 19 people have taken courses in the management of unmanned vehicles, and 10 students are being trained by order of the Institute of Permafrost named after P.I. Melnikov, companies “Teploenergoservis”, “Sakhaneftegazsbyt” and “ArktikTelecom”. Drone specialists are in demand in industries such as oil and gas production, construction, ecology, logistics, agriculture and forestry.
