Tomsk farms have started sowing perennial grasses, beets and planting potatoes. According to the press service of the regional administration, almost all municipalities have entered the sowing campaign.
As specified, 60.8 thousand hectares were sown with spring grain and leguminous crops in the Tomsk region – 37.8% of the plan. This is 30% more than the same date last year. In six districts of the region, sowing of rapeseed is actively underway: 4.6 thousand hectares have been sown – 21% of the plan. Shegarsky, Bakcharsky, Pervomaisky and Tomsky districts are sowing annual grasses, in Asinovsky and Bakcharsky districts they have started sowing perennial grasses – 104 hectares.
“In the Tomsk region, four farms plant open ground vegetables (carrots and beets) and potatoes. A total of 160 hectares were sown: 130 hectares – carrots, 30 hectares – beets, 10 hectares – potatoes. Sowing of oil flax (540 ha) also continues. In the Asinovsky district, they began to sow fiber flax (225 hectares),”

It is noted that the region has almost completed the harrowing of perennial grasses and winter crops: 42.9 thousand hectares have been processed – 92.4% of the plan. The nailing of moisture took place on an area of 177.8 thousand hectares, which is 99.5% of the plan.
Let us add that Tomsk farms continue to apply mineral fertilizers. Top dressing was carried out for 12.9 thousand hectares of winter crops, 19 thousand hectares of spring crops and 10.6 thousand hectares of perennial grasses. 332.8 thousand tons of organic fertilizers were taken to the fields.
