Tidal Grow® AgriScience, a division of Tidal Vision Products Inc., has expanded into the Canadian market with four innovative products designed to enhance regenerative agricultural practices. These offerings include chitosan-based seed treatments and biostimulants, as well as liquid seafood hydrolysate biofertilizers, all aimed at promoting sustainable crop production.
The newly introduced products are:
- Tidal Grow GENBOOST: A chitosan-based seed treatment registered as a plant supplement in Canada.
- Tidal Grow Chroma: A chitosan-based biostimulant, also registered as a plant supplement.
- Tidal Grow Oceanic: A liquid seafood hydrolysate biofertilizer.
- Tidal Grow SeaPhos: Another variant of liquid seafood hydrolysate biofertilizer.
Chitosan, derived from chitin found in seafood byproducts, is recognized for its role in inducing plant defense mechanisms, thereby enhancing disease resistance and potentially increasing crop yields. Its application in agriculture has been associated with improved plant resilience and soil fertility.
Tidal Grow’s biofertilizers, Oceanic and SeaPhos, are produced through the upcycling of fish and other seafood byproducts. These products align with Fertilizer Canada’s 4R Nutrient Stewardship principles—Right Source, Right Rate, Right Time, Right Place—emphasizing efficacy, environmental sustainability, and economic benefits.
Brian Cummings, Canadian Manager at Tidal Grow AgriScience, stated that this expansion into Canada sets the stage for global growth, empowering retailers and growers with solutions for a more sustainable future.
Tidal Grow AgriScience’s introduction of chitosan-based treatments and biofertilizers into the Canadian market represents a significant advancement in regenerative agriculture. By leveraging natural compounds and sustainable practices, these products offer Canadian farmers innovative tools to enhance crop health, yield, and environmental stewardship.
