THE “NEW ENTRY OF BRANDS AWARD 2020” HAS BEEN ZERO RESIDUE TO POTATOES

The potatoes areVita Residuo Zero* Romagnoli F.lli Spa win the New Entry award of Brands Award 2020 for the category “other food”.New Entry is the special section of Brands Award – an initiative promoted by Gdoweek that awards the best annual branded “performances” in consumer goods – dedicated to products launched at do and gdo stores from 1 January to 25 September 2020. The candidate products were voted on through a web survey open to distribution and industry managers.

A reference that enhances the fruit and vegetable department thanks to a plus of innovation, from cultivation methods to packaging, while guaranteeing taste, quality and food safety”.The potatoes isVita Residuo Zero are certified Check Fruit from the 100% Italian supply chain and available in Sormapeel vertbag, a package consisting of paper and polypropylene, easily separable and recyclable materials respectively in the collection of plastic and paper, which allows a reduction of -25% of plastic compared to other packages in use.”Our hope, and also our forecast, is that the proposal of references to Residuo Zero will continue to grow, not only with regard to seasonal products, but also with regard to continuous products – underlines Romagnoli – such as carrots and onions, to name a few. This is to have a greater control of the fruit and vegetable department giving the consumer the opportunity to recognize them and appreciate their value. Residue Zero is a cultivation model that combines sustainability for the environment and the consumer”.*Residue of chemicals permitted by law below analytical determination limits (0.01 ppm) and residues of plant protection substances authorised for use in organic farming (in accordance with Annex II to Reg. EC 889/2008) up to a maximum of 50% of the Maximum Permissible Residue.
