This is a significant achievement and a great opportunity for the project to reach a new audience and share stories about people and potatoes in an even more vivid light.

About the MediaPole Award
“MediaPole” is an all-Russian award created to support authors who, through their work—articles, videos, blogs—shape a positive and modern image of rural Russia. Its key goals are:

  • Popularizing agricultural work and increasing the attractiveness of life outside the city.
  • Identifying and supporting talented authors—bloggers, journalists, students, farmers—who talk about the development of rural areas.
  • Creating a community of like-minded people inspired by the beauty and prospects of country life.

In 2025, over 1,500 applications from 79 regions of the country were submitted for the award. An expert jury, which included representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, federal TV channels, the National Association of Bloggers, and leading media outlets, selected the 100 finalists.

The Final in Moscow: Master Classes and Professional Networking
A rich two-day program was organized in Moscow for the finalists, including the Potato Tour team.

  • Excursions and Master Classes: Participants visited leading media venues in the capital, where they attended practical sessions with key industry experts. This was a valuable experience that will help the project elevate its content to a new qualitative level.
  • Live Communication and Networking: The opportunity to communicate with colleagues from all over Russia—from journalists and bloggers to farmers and students—was one of the main outcomes of the final. The exchange of ideas and experience opens doors for future collaborations and project development.
  • Award Ceremony: The winners were announced on November 30.

The Potato Tour: New Prospects
Being selected as a finalist for the MediaPole Award is an important milestone for the International Potato Tour project. It signifies recognition and trust, showing that the topic the project covers is relevant and in demand at the state level.

The knowledge gained from master classes by media experts and connections with successful authors will provide the project with new ideas and formats for development. This will help tell stories about agriculture and the people involved in it in an even more interesting and professional way.

The final of the MediaPole award became not just a competition for the project, but a launchpad for growth. The experience, contacts, and recognition gained will help the International Potato Tour continue its important mission with renewed energy—to reveal amazing stories connected to potatoes and agricultural workers to the world.
