he Government of the Republic of Korea provides a grant of $ 21.4 for agriculture in Uzbekistan
Decree of the President dated July 14, 2022 No. PP-321 “On measures to introduce advanced technologies in agriculture of Uzbekistan at the expense of grant funds from the Government of the Republic of Korea” was adopted.
Grant funds are allocated to create on the territory of the National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture (AKIS) (hereinafter referred to as the National Center), located in the Yukorichirchik district:
training center for advanced technologies in horticulture of Uzbekistan – $3.7 million;
innovation center of industrial technologies of “smart agriculture” of Uzbekistan – $14 million;
center for the production of agricultural products and its seedlings – $ 3.7 million.
The National Center will also train IT specialists and highly qualified trainers to work with software, develop software for modern greenhouses.
The National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture has been designated as the executive and responsible body for the implementation of projects funded by grant funds from the Government of the Republic of Korea, including the creation of a new training center, greenhouses, nurseries, model farms, Norma.uz reports.
