The director of the LLP entered into an agreement on the purchase of subsidized potato seeds by agricultural producers who did not grow potatoes.
A man accused of embezzling state subsidies in the total amount of 96 million tenge was sentenced to five years in prison in the Kostanay region, the Financial Monitoring Agency reported.
In February 2021, the director of Agroprom Trade 2030 LLP concluded sales and purchase agreements for subsidized potato seeds with agricultural producers of the Kostanay region. Then, on the basis of these agreements, he submitted transfer applications to the Department of Agriculture of the Akimat of Kostanay region for payment to Agroprom Trade 2030 LLP of due subsidies for reimbursement of costs when purchasing potato seeds.
It has been established that in fact these farmers have never purchased potato seeds from Agroprom Trade 2030 LLP and have never been engaged in growing potatoes. In fact, some of them were engaged only in harvesting wheat, while other farms were simply inactive.
For the provision of their EDS and the approval of sales contracts, the defendants promised agricultural producers remuneration in various amounts, but after receiving subsidies, only the head of one peasant farm received a reward in the amount of 1.5 million tenge.
In fact, for the period June-July 2021, five criminal cases were initiated with a total identified damage caused to the state in the amount of 96 million tenge.
The court found the director of Agroprom Trade 2030 LLP guilty. He was sentenced to five years in prison with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to holding financially responsible and managerial positions in commercial and government organizations for a period of six years.
Serving a sentence in the form of deprivation of liberty was appointed in an institution of the penitentiary system of medium security.
