Sowing works have begun in Kazakhstan

Today, Kazakh farmers have sown 1.5 million hectares of arable land. The massive spring campaign will begin in the second decade of May. The total area under crops will be 23.8 million hectares.
In the new season, wheat crops will be reduced in the republic and the area under oilseeds, potatoes and sugar beet will be increased.
99% of the seed material has been prepared for the work. The remaining volume will be provided at the expense of the reserve of JSC “National Company Food Contract Corporation”. At the moment, air-thermal heating and seed dressing are being carried out.
For sowing, agricultural producers have 150 thousand tractors, about five thousand high-performance sowing complexes, 76 thousand seeders, 219 thousand tillage implements. Plant growers had the opportunity to purchase 376 thousand tons of diesel fuel at a discounted price, which is 15% lower than the market price.
The Kazakh authorities have allocated 8.1 billion tenge to combat herd locusts, and the necessary amount of pesticides has already been purchased.
