According to operational data collected from agricultural organizations and farms, 590 thousand hectares of agricultural land have been sown with various crops.
Including grain crops sown on an area of 418.2 thousand hectares; corn for grain – by 10.2 thousand hectares; sunflower seed – by 7.2 thousand hectares; vegetables – by 0.9 thousand ha; sugar beet – by 13.2 thousand hectares; rapeseed – by 14.7 thousand tons; fiber flax – by 3.1 thousand ha; oilseed flax – by 12.3 thousand hectares; mustard – on 5.3 thousand hectares. Potatoes are planted on an area of 15.1 thousand hectares. Forage crops were sown: annual grasses – on 56.5 thousand hectares and corn for silage – on 32.3 thousand hectares.
“The sowing campaign has been completed in the region. Now agrarians are facing an important task: to complete a set of agrotechnological works in a timely manner, aimed at forming a good harvest. It is necessary to feed plants and treat them from diseases, pests and weeds,” said Nikolai Denisov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
As part of the implementation of the state program “Development of the agro-industrial complex of the Nizhny Novgorod Region” in 2022, it is planned to produce at least 1260 thousand tons of grain; 404.6 thousand tons – potatoes; 39.4 thousand tons – open ground vegetables; 2.74 thousand tons – flax fiber and hemp fiber; thousand tons.
Earlier it was reported that agrarians of the Nizhny Novgorod region have started harvesting feed for farm animals.
It should be reminded that about 5 billion rubles of subsidies have been allocated to support agricultural enterprises and the development of rural areas of the Nizhny Novgorod region this year, of which more than 2 billion rubles have already been distributed to agricultural producers. The funds were used to carry out spring field work; melioration; reimbursement of part of the costs associated with the acquisition of machinery and equipment; to support producers of milk and vegetables, support personnel and other areas.
