Family Fun and Community Support in Boise on July 12

Boise, Idaho – Simplot is excited to announce its annual Free FryDay event, set for Friday, July 12, from 4-7 p.m. The family-friendly celebration will take place in the courtyard between Simplot HQ and JUMP, bringing the community together for an afternoon filled with free food, entertainment, and an opportunity to support the Idaho Food Bank.

Event Highlights

Free FryDay promises a delightful experience for attendees of all ages, featuring a variety of activities and events:

FREE French Fries: Guests can indulge in delicious, complimentary fries served by Simplot.

FREE Tasty Sliders: CS Beef will provide mouth-watering slider hamburgers for everyone to enjoy.

Beer Garden: Adults can quench their thirst with refreshing drinks from local brewery Mother Earth Brewing Company.

Live Music: The event will feature music performances by Afrosonics and The Fjord People, hosted by Duck Club, the creators of the Treefort Music Fest.

Circus Fun: Attendees will be entertained by live circus performances and can participate in lessons from the Boise Circus Guild.

Dunk Tank: Support the Idaho Food Bank by dunking Boise State University football and basketball players in a dunk tank.

T-Shirt Sale: Commemorative FryDay t-shirts will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting the Idaho Food Bank. Every $5 contribution can help provide food for up to 15 meals to hungry Idahoans.

Supporting the Idaho Food Bank

Simplot is deeply committed to supporting the local community, particularly in addressing food insecurity. According to Map the Meal Gap, 220,990 Idahoans, including 67,590 children, experienced food insecurity in 2022. Over the last year, 1 in 9 Idahoans and 1 in 7 Idaho children faced food insecurity.

By participating in Free FryDay and purchasing t-shirts, community members can make a significant impact. Simplot aims to use this event not only to celebrate National French Fry Day but also to raise awareness and support for those in need.
