In Moscow, a meeting was held between the Head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert and the Chairman of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Askar Zhakupbaev.
Sergey Dankvert noted the growing trade turnover between the countries. In 2022, according to the FSIS “Argus”, Russia increased the supply of meat and meat products to Kazakhstan by 30% and milk and dairy products by 26%. In particular, shipments of poultry meat, pork, sausages, milk and cream, cheeses, cottage cheese and dairy products increased.
The Kazakh colleagues, in turn, expressed their gratitude to the Rosselkhoznadzor for prompt supplies of FMD vaccines and announced their intention to import more veterinary drugs from Russia.
The meeting also discussed the integration of information systems both in the field of veterinary medicine and phytosanitary.
The Kazakh delegation, which included representatives of reference and laboratory institutions, as well as the business community, also arrived in Russia to develop scientific and technical cooperation.
In anticipation of the negotiations, the delegation visited the All-Russian State Center for the Quality and Standardization of Medicines for Animals and Feed (FGBU VGNKI). At the meeting with the management of the center, the parties discussed the methods of laboratory research of food products, the rules for registration of veterinary medicinal products, as well as the processes for preparing inspectors for checking production facilities for compliance with GMP requirements. Kazakh colleagues expressed their interest in the exchange of experience and participation in scientific and educational projects of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “VGNKI”.
