Breeders say that it is not only beautiful and fashionable, but also tasty and healthy, because unusual potatoes are dietary.
One of the official public pages of the government of the Samara region posted a video with an extravagant novelty, bred by breeders of one of the local enterprises, whose general director Evgeny Peresedov promises to preserve the purple color even in mashed potatoes – while maintaining the usual taste with non-standard serving of the dish.
The enterprise cultivates 8 varieties of potatoes, of which experts consider the most promising “Julia” and “Grand” – from each tuber you can get up to two kilograms of the product. They are not afraid of sanctions here – they have their own seeds, and now – exclusive varieties that give from one tuber to twenty only marketable ones.
The Pantone Institute has announced Very Peri as the color of 2022. Now all its shades are in fashion – from pale lilac to juicy purple, like the new Samara potato.
