According to the Ministry of Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Development of the Ulyanovsk Region, in 2022, potatoes were planted on an area of 1,450 hectares, which is one and a half times higher than last year.
- This will fully satisfy domestic needs, including processing enterprises, – they are sure in the relevant department.
According to the Potato Union, there is currently no need to import french fries.
According to preliminary data, the sown area of potatoes in the organized sector has increased, it has exceeded 290,000 hectares, which is four percent more than last year.
