Farmers of the Brest region, the southernmost region of the republic, were the first to start planting potatoes. As planned, all work will be completed by May 1.
Potatoes are grown by farms located in 11 municipalities of the region. The leaders in the production of culture today are Luninetsky, Ivanovsky, Pruzhansky and Stolinsky districts.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus notes that the spring campaign should be held normally. The country’s farmers are fully provided with seeds, fertilizers and agricultural machinery.
