Potato harvesting is underway in the northern region of Turkmenistan, which is planned to be harvested 123,200 tons
Potato harvesting is underway in Dashoguz velayat. This year it is planted on 8,800 hectares, which is much more than last year, according to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
Today, the agrarians of the region are faced with the task of bringing the volume of the harvested crop to 123,200 tons for the first time. To do this, from each hectare you need to get at least 140 centners of tubers.
Most of the plantings are located on the lands of the etraps named after Gurbansoltan-Edzhe and named after S.A. Niyazov.
The region has accumulated sufficient experience in the successful cultivation of Dutch potato varieties, which are well adapted to local soil and climatic conditions and give a high yield.
