Potato Grower Golf Tournament Sizzles in Summer Sun

Annual Event Celebrates Community and Competition in Eastern Idaho

The 34th Annual Potato Grower Golf Tournament, held at the Idaho Falls Country Club, proved to be an exhilarating event despite the warmer-than-usual summer temperatures blanketing eastern Idaho. The tournament showcased impressive golfing skills, with participants competing fiercely for the top prizes.

This year, the team comprising Ragen Darrington, Jonny Webster, Andrew Roberts, and Kendal Rolfe emerged victorious, carding a remarkable score of 56. Their performance was 16 under par, three strokes better than last year’s winning team, solidifying their place at the top of the leaderboard. The competition was intense, with several teams vying for prizes and money.

The runners-up, Tom Hopkins, Pete Cortez, Kamren Koompin, and Andrew Cortez, finished three strokes behind the winners with a score of 59. The third place was secured by Kyle Christensen, Tanner Christensen, Tyler Maby, and Trevor Schmidt, who scored 61. Interestingly, teams placed fourth through seventh all ended with a score of 62, requiring the country club to use the scorecard playoff system to determine their final standings.
