Maloyaroslavets farmers are planting potatoes of elite varieties. The process is in full swing, the Mayak regional newspaper reported on June 2. Planting began on the fields of the Rodina agricultural enterprise near the village of Panskoe. Our colleagues went to the site and talked with the management of the agricultural enterprise.
“Despite the fact that the land was plowed before winter, before planting we thoroughly prepared it again,” the regional newspaper reports the words of the general director of the agricultural enterprise Gennady Shmargun.
“Second bread”, as potatoes are also called, they plan to plant 65 hectares of land. Two varieties will coexist in the fields – “Colomba” and “Gala”. Farmers in the Maloyaroslavetsky district expect to harvest at least 25 tons of potatoes per hectare.
