Last Saturday, an important event took place for the agricultural sector of Kamchatka — the opening of a new state-of-the-art potato storage facility by Holkam Agro. Key regional leaders attended the event, including Governor of Kamchatka Krai, Vladimir Solodov, Deputy Chairman of the Government Roman Vasilevsky, and Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry, Vyacheslav Chernysh.
The founder and director of Holkam Agro, Alexander Garin, conducted a tour of the new facility, explaining its technical capabilities and innovative solutions for storing potatoes. The storage is equipped with advanced climate control systems, ensuring optimal conditions for preserving seed potatoes and maintaining their high quality over extended periods.
Garin also highlighted the significant role of this storage facility in developing seed production in Kamchatka. With new technologies and improved storage conditions, local farmers will have the opportunity to significantly increase the production of high-quality seed potatoes, positively impacting crop yields and strengthening the region’s food security.
This event marks a milestone for Kamchatka’s agriculture and demonstrates the region’s serious commitment to developing the agricultural sector and supporting food security programs at both federal and local levels.
