New cases of detection of infected plant products from Moldova have been established

The Rosselkhoznadzor is concerned about the increased cases of detection of objects quarantined for the EAEU member countries in Moldovan plant products.

So, for 2021 and 2022, in plant products that came from the Republic of Moldova to the territory of Russia,
93 facts of detection of 11 types of quarantine objects were established.

Despite the note sent by the Service in July 2022
on considering the issue of the possible introduction of temporary restrictions, the supply of infected plant products to the domestic market continues.

In July 2022 alone, 13 cases of 5 types of objects quarantined for the EAEU member countries were detected:

• Eastern codling moth Grapholitha molesta (Busck);
• Oriental fruit fly Bactrocera dorsalis Hend;
• Brown moniliose rot Monilinia fructicola (Winter) Honey;
• Mediterranean fruit fly Ceratitis capitata Wiedemann;
• Ambrosia artemisiifolia Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.
