According to the deputy minister of agriculture of the republic, Nikolai Afanasiev, the forage harvesting campaign continues in Yakutia, and the harvesting campaign is gaining momentum. This year it is planned to harvest 70,000 tons of potatoes, 30,000 tons of vegetables and 12,000 tons of grain crops, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture reports. – The preparation of fodder continues in the republic, at the same time, all agricultural uluses have begun harvesting. Farmers hope to harvest at least 70,000 tons of potatoes, 30,000 tons of vegetables and 12,000 tons of grain crops from the fields this year. The economy plan brought to fruition will be able to be fulfilled provided that all available forces and capacities are involved. In the current agricultural season, every fine day is important, and therefore farms should accelerate the pace of harvesting, the deputy minister noted. The harvested area of grain crops is 9051 hectares, of which, as of September 1, 402 hectares were actually harvested. The gross grain harvest amounted to 318 tons, or 2% of the plan. The average yield as of the reporting date is 7.9 q/ha. As of September 1, the gross potato harvest is 1012 tons, or 1% of the plan. According to the agricultural departments, it is predicted to collect 95% of the planned volume. As of the reporting date, 1,014 tons of open ground vegetables were harvested, including 682.5 tons of cabbage, 73.5 tons of carrots, 53.3 tons of beets, and 205.1 tons of other vegetables. Greenhouse vegetables – 3635 tons. As for fodder harvesting, as of the reporting date, about 300 thousand hectares of hayfields were mowed in the republic, 328,885 tons of hay were harvested, which is 73% of the plan and 92% of the corresponding period. Silage harvested 16,583 tons, 58% of the plan, haylage – 4650 tons, which is 36% of the plan. – The total planned volume of hay harvesting by mobile teams on distant hayfields in the republic is 54.9 thousand tons. To date, 213 mobile brigades have gone to harvest hay in remote areas, they have harvested 17,499 tons of feed, the plan has been fulfilled by 31%,” Nikolay Afanasyev said.
